T N A   0 0 3 Shawn Rudiman / Arne Weinberg - "Chord Control" For this release we are happy to welcome Arne Weinberg to our label for this split EP of deep, melodic and moving Techno. Shawn Rudiman and Arne Weinberg each give moments of perfection in their respective trademark ways: Rudiman with his super groovy chorded style and Weinberg with his atmosphere and emotion. This adds up to what some seem to have forgotten about techno... A1. Gruva The opening cut of this record starts with low end thumps and aquatic chords with cripsy, shuffled percussion. An ultra-groovy basslines fills out the bottom while Jazz hits accentuate the groove and make a lush rhythmic environment. Subtle rides move the energy a notch higher, right into a wicked jazz flute riff. Deep, pumping, groovy and a bit nasty. listen to a sample of "gruva"             A2. Kings of Sleep This kick-drum less track, simply-put, is the soundtrack to an unwritten, positive future! Twisted synth sequences filter in and out with bass and chord hits building the framework for it all to fit in. Snappy percussion and claps add to the remaining rhythm. Get It In Check A short, crazy jazzy cut with an incredibly infectious synth-bassline. Almost real hihats make the core of rhythm for this track along with synth chops and swells and odd claps. In Between Tinkly synth blips start out this pensive, deep, moody cut from Arne Weinberg. Super lush pads, sizzling synth lines and tom driven basslines build this track into a sweet, melancholic dancefloor treat, that may make people think and feel as much as they dance. listen to a sample of "in between"             AA2. My Testimony As far as deep goes, this is as deep as it gets! Light percussion and swaying synth lines introduce us to incredibly delicate sounds, melodies and chords. Arne's vocals add the extra element that most never even dare to explore. After the dubbed out basslines, he gives us energetic pads that add incredible amounts of soul to an already murky and deep tune.
