Shawn Rudiman & Arne Weinberg "The Lost Arts"

This time out, we are very excited to release this combination / collaboration effort from Mr. Weinberg and Mr. Rudiman. These two monks of soulful techno are both heralded for their depth, grooves and unflinching melodies. When two producers of this caliber and style team up together, the results are of timeless proportion. We are very proud to have the opportunity and ability to release such moving, uncompromising and emotional pieces of music. We hope you’ll see why we are excited and taken by this record. Enjoy!

On the flipside, Mr. Rudiman flies solo, but don’t be worried, he has it quite under control. He supplies us with two absolutely driving and relentlessly deep cuts to move the dancefloor into a frenzy.

A1. The Lost Arts

This combined effort reflects the depth of these two massive producers. A dithering synth melody beckons us to enter a world of lush, saturated and dripping synthesizers. They take us to a place so few dare to tread: drum-less techno. Some may think it impossible to accomplish this, but we know better. Don’t be fooled, this track tears you apart from your very soul and puts you back together again. This is a fine piece of true techno-soul that pulls at you from the deepest recesses of your own being – an instant, timeless classic.

AA1. Don't Ask Too Much

Schizophrenic and bouncing synth waves usher this track in and work it over. Pounding warm percussion, analog pings and shimmering 909 hats slide us further and further into an organized, synthesized anarchy of grooves. Only after a scorching synth lead are we allowed to find a momentary safe spot, until we are then thrown back into the waves of synth chaos. Pure synth grooves to do a body good.

            AA2. Future Fetish

Mr. Rudiman throws us ahead into a deep, dark, ominous and funky vision of the days to come. Sleazy 808 grooves set the tone for this deep driver. Aquatic and satin-like pads flow out like multi-colored water, hi-hats tick like the hand of a clock and claps splash into the pool of time. The groove gets dirtied up by harsh synth hits that funktify to the maximum. Huge strings tell us that we have arrived at our destination, while high melodies tell us we some how have no need to fear. As the groove intensifies, we know the future is dark, but oh so sexy. Welcome to tomorrow.
